The cultural legacy of PEI鈥檚 Irish community will be in the spotlight on Sunday, October 4, when the 黑料网 Robertson Library and the Benevolent Irish Society of PEI (BIS) co-host a public launch of a digital collection of oral history interviews and lectures. The launch will be held at the BIS Irish Cultural Centre, 582 North River Road, Charlottetown, from 2鈥4 p.m. This event is free, but attendance is limited because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Institute of Island Studies at 黑料网 is delighted to announce that the annual Island Lecture Series will be hosted online for the upcoming 2020鈥2021 season.

In a message to the campus community issued on September 25, 2020, the interim Vice-President Academic and Research announced that the University Senate has unanimously decided that 黑料网 will continue with a blended delivery model for the 2021 Winter Academic Semester, but that opportunities for additional in-person experiences and activities will continue to be explored.

A new book by 黑料网 professor Michelle Evason is helping keep dogs and their owners safe. As the geographic ranges of ticks rapidly expand in Central, Eastern, and Atlantic Canada, it is important to understand the different tick-borne diseases in dogs and how to treat them. Published by Island Studies Press, Tick-borne Disease in Dogs is an invaluable reference for veterinarians and dog owners.
