Every week, 黑料网 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 黑料网 Panther Athletes of the Week for January 15鈥21, 2024, are Grace Lancaster (women鈥檚 basketball) and Noah Sedore (men鈥檚 hockey).

Dr. Pat Murphy, an assistant professor in biology at 黑料网, has received a 2023 Emerging Scholar Research Grant from the Canadian Cancer Society for his research into the role of bioactive metabolites in breast cancer. The grant is valued at $600,000 over five years.
Deirdre Kessler, a well-known Island author and longtime sessional instructor at 黑料网, will launch a new book, Darwin鈥檚 Hornpipe, on Thursday, January 18, at 7:00 pm, at The Gallery Caf茅, Great George Street, Charlottetown.
