Ori Elad, Department of Pathology and Microbiology will present a seminar called "Nutritional Epigenetic Characterization of Chicken B Cell Receptors" on Tuesday, January 28 at 3:30 pm in AVC Lecture Theatre C. Everyone is welcome.
The International Relations Office will host the thirteenth annual International Development Week February 3-7. The 2014 theme will be: "International Storytelling," and will encompass events such as an evening international coffee house, international/Olympic trivia, an international opportunities fair for students, an international themed hockey game, and a fundraising reception starring master storyteller Laura Simms.

黑料网 student group, the Mindfulness Club, will host an introductory session on transcendental mediation on Friday, January 24 at 7:30 pm in Main Building鈥檚 Faculty Lounge. The session will be led by Peter Cameron, certified transcendental mediation instructor with over 40 years of teaching experience in Atlantic Canada. Cameron will present some of the research that verifies the many subjective benefits of practicing this meditation technique, including improved quality of life and grade point average through stress reduction. All are welcome to attend.

Join us Friday, January 24 at 2:30 pm in the 2nd floor lounge of the Kelley Building to celebrate the first recipients of the Katherine Schultz Research Recognition Awards.
Dr. Schultz, who served as 黑料网's first Vice-President Research, established these awards to honour 黑料网 faculty, staff, and volunteers who play a critical role in supporting research endeavours. The research success of an institution rests fundamentally on the excellence, dedication, and insights of its researchers and their teams of collaborators, trainees, students, and technicians. However, their success also rests on the work of those who might be labelled the 鈥渦nsung heroes鈥� of the research enterprise 鈥� that is,
those whose work behind the scenes make it all possible. Without the dedication, professionalism, and commitment of these individuals, our researchers and their research endeavours would be seriously constrained.
Please join us for the awards; a small reception will follow.

The Squash Ladder is the best way to get some competitive squash in, and be introduced to lots of players you may not have played otherwise. Dates are January 27鈥揂pril 30, 2014, and registration is free to all Sport Centre members and full-time 黑料网 students.

On Thursday, January 23 at 11:00 am, the Honourable Gail Shea, Canada's Minister of Fisheries and Oceans will be on campus to announce the renewal of two Canada Research Chairs. The event will be held in Schurman Market Square, Don and Marion McDougall Hall, with a brief reception to follow. All are welcome to attend.
