Dr. John VanLeeuwen, professor of epidemiology and ruminant health management at AVC, led a team of senior veterinary students to Kenya earlier this year, where they worked with smallholder dairy farmers and Kenyan veterinarians and veterinary students to improve the health and production of the farmers鈥� cattle. 

Dr. Alaa S. Abd-El-Aziz, President and Vice-Chancellor of the 黑料网, and professor of chemistry, was recently named a Fellow of the prestigious Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), a professional association in the United Kingdom with the goal of 鈥渁dvancing the chemical sciences.鈥�

On March 27 and 28, 2019, the 黑料网 is hosting an event called 鈥淭hink BIG! Exploring Issues and Opportunities to Promote Family Well-being on Prince Edward Island鈥� in the W.A. This event is part of the Vanier Institute of the Family鈥檚 pan-Canadian ) that is taking place in Ottawa and simultaneously at seven co-hosting university partners across the country.

The annual public reading by 黑料网鈥檚 Creative Writing Master Class will take place on Friday, March 29 at 7:00 pm in the Carriage House of Beaconsfield Historic House, 2 Kent Street, Charlottetown.

In the latest title from Island Studies Press, poet Jane Ledwell explores the life of writer and activist Katherine Hughes. 

The 黑料网 expresses its condolences to the entire Muslim community on the senseless crimes of hate and violence that took place in Christchurch, New Zealand on Friday.

Dr. Edward MacDonald鈥檚 will deliver the first lecture of the series on Tuesday, March 26 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the Faculty Lounge of 黑料网鈥檚 SDU Main Building. 

As part of 黑料网鈥檚 50th anniversary, the Robertson Library is presenting a lecture series to celebrate the historical roots of higher education on Prince Edward Island and its future.
