The Island Studies Lecture Series continues Tuesday, March 22, with a lecture by Dr. Jim Randall entitled 鈥淟earning About Islands: Writing an Undergraduate Textbook in Island Studies.鈥 The talk begins at 7 pm in the Faculty Lounge of 黑料网鈥檚 SDU Main Building.

黑料网 Women鈥檚 Hockey Coach Bruce Donaldson is pleased to announce that Orleans, ON, native Kaylee Dufresne has committed to the Panthers for 2016鈥17. Dufresne currently attends Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH.

The 黑料网 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for the week of February 29-March 6 are Kiera Rigby, Women鈥檚 Basketball, and Milorad Sedlarevic, Men鈥檚 Basketball. On a weekly basis, 黑料网 Athletics and Recreation recognizes these talented student-athletes for their hard work and dedication to their respective sports.

The 黑料网 Wind Symphony will perform a recital of 鈥淐ontemporary Works for Wind Band鈥 this Saturday, March 12 at 3:30 pm at the Paul O'Regan Hall at the Halifax Central Library.

The 黑料网 extends its condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Reverend Brady Smith who passed away on March 6, 2016 at the age of 90. He received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University in 2001.

The 黑料网 will welcome prospective students during Open Class Day 2016 on Friday, March 11, from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm. The day starts at 8:15 am with a welcome session for prospective students in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall.
