Dear Members of the University Community,

A New Year brings new, exciting challenges and opportunities, and 2016 is promising to be a year of monumental achievement in the history of both ºÚÁÏÍø and the province of Prince Edward Island. It is with great excitement that I write with the latest update on the construction of ºÚÁÏÍø’s new School of Sustainable Design Engineering.

Luke Gaudet (fourth-year BBA with accounting specialization) and Hannah Dawson (third-year BBA) have added to the growing list of successes for ºÚÁÏÍø case students this season. 

ºÚÁÏÍø Clarinet Professor Karem J Simon will collaborate with the Atlantic String Machine in an intimate evening of chamber music on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 7:30 pm in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall at ºÚÁÏÍø

Starting on February 23, AVC's Sir James Dunn Animal Welfare Centre  will launch a new webinar series that will provide continuing education (CE) credits to veterinarians and animal health technicians.

The ºÚÁÏÍø Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for the week of January 18-24 are Angenay Williams, Women’s Basketball and Tyler Scott, Men’s Basketball. 

The ºÚÁÏÍø Department of Music is proud to present the 2016 Dr. Frances Gray Performance Competition finals on Thursday, February 4 at 7:30 pm at the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, ºÚÁÏÍø. 

Dr. Anne Muckle, an associate professor of bacteriology at AVC, has been awarded the Student American Veterinary Medical Association’s (SAVMA) 2016 Community Outreach and Education Award for her dedication to teaching and to her students.

ºÚÁÏÍø alumna Monica Elaine Campbell, Class of ’78, was invested into the Order of Ontario yesterday by the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and Chancellor of the Order of Ontario.
